Delicious crepes at A-Factory!

Aomori is the northernmost prefecture of the main island of Japan, and plays an important role in connecting the main land with the northern region of Hokkaido. Aomori’s prize produce is apples, so be sure to check out A-Factory in Aomori City to try various local apple products such as apple cider and apple pie! While you are there, absorb the history of rail and sea transport inside the ferry-turned-museum Hakkodamaru Ferry, or learn about the Nebuta Festival at the Nebutanosato museum across the way. If you happen to be in Aomori in August, you must stay for the actual Nebuta Matsuri, one of the three great festivals of Tohoku, with its spectacular colorful floats.
